Most Ramset service calls trace back to a short list of symptoms, and most of them end in a repair rather than a replacement:
- Humming but not moving - the motor tries to start but a weak or failed capacitor cannot spin it, or the gearbox has seized
- Clicking from the cabinet - a relay or contactor fires but the motor never engages, often a board or motor-side fault
- Beeping or error signals - the control board is flagging an obstruction, an entrapment event, or a failed accessory
- Board faults - surge damage, water intrusion, or burnt relays on the control board

We are a repair-first company. A failed capacitor costs you a capacitor and a service call, not a new operator, and the same is true of limit switches, photo eyes, and many board faults. Honesty runs both ways, though: when a motor is burned out, a gearbox is stripped, or a board is obsolete with no serviceable substitute, we will tell you plainly that replacement is the better spend.
