Garage Door Panel / Section Replacement

A dented, cracked, or rotted garage door panel is an eyesore – and sometimes the door still works fine otherwise. The good news: you usually don’t have to replace the whole door. Electra Gate Solutions swaps individual panels and sections across Riverside, Ontario, Colton, and the wider Inland Empire, restoring the look and integrity of your door for a fraction of full-replacement cost.

The Problem / What We Do

Panels take damage from backing into them, kids’ sports, storm debris, rust, and age. A single bashed section can leave the door looking neglected, let in dust and heat, or keep it from sealing and tracking properly. When the rest of the door – frame, springs, tracks, opener – is sound, replacing just the damaged section is the smart, economical move.

We assess whether your door is a good candidate, source a matching section by brand, model, color, and panel style, and install it so the door looks and runs like before. If the damage is too widespread or panels are discontinued, we’ll tell you honestly and walk you through new garage door installation instead.

Our Panel Replacement Process

1. Inspect the damage. How many sections, and whether the impact bent tracks or knocked the door off-track. 2. Identify the door. Manufacturer, model, color, and design. 3. Check availability. If discontinued, we lay out your options honestly. 4. Swap the section safely. Support the door, remove the damaged panel, fit the replacement, re-secure hardware. 5. Align and test. The door tracks straight, seals correctly, and cycles smoothly.

An Inland Empire Angle

In tight IE garages, the bottom panel takes the most abuse – bumpers, trash cans, the occasional miscalculated reverse. IE sun and dust also fade and pit older panels, so a single replaced section can sometimes look newer than the rest. We match as closely as possible and are upfront about any finish difference on a weathered door, so you can decide between a section swap and a full replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Replace just one panel? Usually yes – if the rest of the door is sound and a matching panel is available. Far cheaper than a full replacement.

Will the new panel match? We match by brand, model, color, and style. On older sun-faded doors there can be a slight difference, and we’ll tell you before we order.

What if my panels are discontinued? If we can’t source a match, we’ll walk you through a new door and help weigh the cost.

Does panel damage affect operation? It can – a bent section may keep the door from sealing or tracking properly. We check during the assessment.
